Helmet Bags - Different Strokes For Different Folks
While it is true that in a lot of countries around the globe, especially in the developing and the emerging economies, motorcycles have always been the most reliable and relatively cheap means of transportation, enthusiasts on their bikes toting their helmets and motorcycle helmet bags will say that it is more than transportation. For them, motorcycling is a way of life!
Motorcycles have a great history that includes many myths and subcultures that have become lifestyles for many. The most prized possession of any Harley Biker is their head scarfs, leather jackets and motorcycle helmet bags. The jacket in one hand and the bag in the other. Different motorcycles require different helmets. Caf racers wear a classic helmet. Mod racers race at high speeds with bright, vibrant and colorful helmets on their heads, but one thing remains the same, they have their matching motorcycle helmet bags. Rockers are also known for their crazy outrageous helmets that often match their helmet bags, saddlebag and the design on their bikes. Every biker has his or her own style overall creating a unique subculture.
Even motorcycle social groups and organizations take on distinct colors of their own. Some go for specific motorcycle brands or makes, like the Harley groups, with Harley bikes, helmets, motorcycle helmet bags, jackets, vests, boots, and down to key chains all strictly Harley! BMW MOA members will have nothing but BMW motorcycles, helmets, helmet bags, protective gear, and accessories. These groups band together for totally different reasons, some outrageous, some social and for a cause, some even anti-social. Some groups raise monies for charitable causes. Others are in it for the thrill of riding and racing motorcycles alone.
Then again, there are the more organized and more influential groups. Motorcyclists have been known to group themselves to be able to build a force to be reckoned with, politically and socially. Lobbying for more biker-friendly legislation on traffic, safety, manufacture, and development, these groups bring with them their own insignias and trademarks of helmets, helmet bags, jackets, and all other gears and accessories. For greater clout, motorcycle groups form federations and confederations, moving from simple traveling bands to politically lobbying forces later on. Motorcycle clubs range in purpose of formation from mere touring and riding, to amateur racing, to professional on- and off-road racing, extreme sports, and even stunt-riding. Every bet is as good as anybody else's to say each club sports a different range of motorcycles, helmets, motorcycle helmet bags, jackets, gloves, key chains, boots, and motorcycle accessories. There are also outlawed motorcycle groups though they remain in the minority; some just go for illegal races, or deliberate traffic violations and other petty misdemeanors.
Finally, it would be improper to fail to mention that the ladies have their own motorcycling subgroups. These clubs - dedicated to and required as membership being a woman - focus on more feminine apparel. These particular bikers tend to wear jackets, boots, pants and other clothes that emphasize their shape and sexiness. Besides their clothing, this particular subgroup brings to the biker mythology more 'feminine color' in the form of pink shaded helmets, motorcycle helmet bags and even saddlebags.
