For many years now, people have been visiting the County of Cornwall in the UK because it offers a more traditional seaside holiday. However, although the traditional seaside holiday is still a favourite with young and old alike, some people are looking for a little bit more in their Cornwall holidays today. Yes as you will soon discover Cornwall can offer you much more than just sun, sea, sand and clotted cream teas.
Today not only can you spend time relaxing on the beach but you may want to try out some of the many different water sports that are now on offer. In fact for those who are involved in surfing and windsurfing many will make numerous trips to Cornwall, simply because it offers some of the best winds and waves for them to ride on.
Along with the water, sports there are plenty of other activities and places of interest that you can visit. Also today, some of the countries most well known chef's including Rick Stein have restaurants located in some of the towns located around the County. This provides you with the chance to try some superb food at a fraction of the cost you would normally pay in their restaurants in London.
Yet even though the county is now catering to the needs of the older generation there is still plenty to do for families. One place which when it opened back at the beginning of this century is "The Eden Project" which has now been included as a World Heritage Site alongside the likes of the Taj Mahal and the Grand Canyon. It is here where you get the chance to learn about what effect global warming is having on the planet and things that we can do in order to prevent the situation from becoming any worse.
One other reason why so many people choose Cornwall as their vacation spot is that no matter where you stay you are only ever a short drive away from its coastline. Also, there are plenty of other beautiful natural features for you to see and visit as well. Plus within a short while you can actually head in to the next county along (Devon) and take a peruse around its quaint villages and towns as well.
But along with the beautiful beaches why not take a trip up to either Bodmin Moor or Dartmoor in order to see some of the native animals to be found in the UK. Along with the Dartmoor, ponies there are deer and you may even come across the Beast of Bodmin during your visit.
When it comes to staying in Cornwall, you have a number of different choices to make. You can stay in either a hotel or a B&B (Bed and Breakfast). Whilst if there is a large group of you intending to take a visit to the area why not rent a holiday cottage instead.
So whether you want a vacation that allows you to relax and unwind or one where you can get involved in some great activities, then Cornwall may be the ideal place to go. As you will soon find there are plenty of places online that offer a wide variety of different Cornwall holidays for you to look at and possibly book as your next vacation trip.

These days we all travel more on our yearly vacations, some more than others while the really adventurous like to travel as far away from where they live as they can. Whatever your travel interest is you will find a wealth of information online at numerous travel sites. It is now true that increasing numbers of people carry out all their travel arrangements using internet web sites. The main problem is the convenience of it all and the huge savings that can be found using the internet.
Although I am not one to put my complete trust in these sites and still like to visit my travel agent. While this may be the way to book your holiday now, I still enjoy sitting front of a real person and not a computer screen.
I find it difficult explaining what I am looking for to a machine whereas it is easier to ask for details from a travel agent. I have never found it easy dealing with travel sites especially when I want to have a discussion with someone before I make a decision on something; plus on the very rare occasion you manage to get through to a support line, they are not as helpful as someone sitting in front of you.
They may say something just to appease you and it will not hold true in the end. It is this fear of the problems that can occur and if they do happen it is too late that prevents me from being more trusting in the way that I trust my travel agent.
A best friend of mine only books her vacations on travel sites and often she'll book a last minute vacation that a travel site is offering which is one huge advantage of using a travel site. When last minute vacations come up, you can end up saving a lot of money and she's gotten some wonderful vacations for almost half the cost.
I have to say that I envy here but she has an understanding company that is far more flexible than mine which require more notice for a vacation. Using a travel site does have other advantages as well because while you can save money on the vacation itself, there are also savings to be made on additional excursions and trips as well if pre-booked.
Although I actually spend time with my travel agent, I do actually carry out a great deal of research on prospective locations before I make up my mind. It may not be fair on my travel agent but at least I know if something goes wrong, I will have someone to complain to on my return.

Here is a list of tips to help you plan and execute your air trip without mishaps. These tips are a useful checklist for anybody traveling by air.
Make sure your passport is not about to expire. Most people never think of this until it's too late. It needs to be valid for at least six months beyond your return dates of travel. Some countries require that your passport be valid for at least six months or you may be refused entry.
Decide what you will be taking onboard as hand luggage and what you will be consigning separately. Do this several days before you plan to travel as it may affect your luggage plans and even the method of booking your flight. Make sure you know what luggage restrictions may apply.
Check and confirm flight times and dates for all sections of your trip to make sure that it matches up with your travel plans. If the trip involves several modes of transport, prepare a separate itinerary.
Make a copy of your air travel itinerary and your passport photo page, and leave copies with your key contacts (workplace, family, travel agent or friend). This can be useful in case you suffer a mishap or in case you need to be contacted urgently. Remember to include telephone numbers and addresses of where you can be contacted during your trip.

Make photocopies of your passport, visas and any other pertinent travel documents. Pack copies in your luggage as a contingency in case your original documents are lost or stolen.
If you use special medication or if you have special medical needs or allergies create a brief report and have it translated into the language of your travel destination. You made need this information in an emergency so keep the document with you.
If traveling abroad here is a great tip: prepare a list of key phrases written in the local language such as thank you, please, where is, help, how much, and so on. You just need a small piece of paper showing a dozen or so key phrases.
Theft is always a concern at airports, but it also happens on flights. Therefore never leave valuables on your seat or near by - take them with you if you leave your seat.
Constantly be aware of your surroundings while in the airport. Many thieves go to airport specifically to steal.
